Metering is fair by design. You're never charged for failures: zero or unknown results mean no charge, and a 5xx on AI92's side isn't billed. Async jobs reserve credits when you submit and automatically refund if the job fails - refunds appear in your billing ledger. And if your balance can't cover a call, you get a pre-flight 402 and nothing is deducted.
This is what lets you build confidently: errors don't cost you.
